The Story Behind the Scent
Tibet remains in my memory through vivid contrasts: mountain cold, a sky crowded with stars, and the warmth of candles inside monasteries. Juniper smoke rises from prayer stupas; yak-butter lamps, woods and incense linger in the air. I returned to these impressions repeatedly, trying to translate a place of such intensity into scent. Lhasa Walk recalls the sensation of moving through a landscape both austere and deeply human, where a trace of smoke and warmth feels all the more distinct against the cold.
